A Gift From Elizabeth
Today when I picked up Elizabeth there was a small package in her cubby that read:
To: Mom and Dad
From: Elizabeth
I brought it home and we had Elizabeth open it for us since we want her to practice for Christmas day. She did ok - she was more interested in shaking it than opening it.
Inside was a darling ornament that the daycare workers made with Elizabeth's help. They had taken her picture and put that on one side of a CD. On the other side was construction paper and in the middle was Elizabeth's little handprint. It had a ribbon attached so you could hang it on the tree. It was darling!
It also had a little poem on it that read:
Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small and always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing I'll be grown some day and all those tiny handprints will surely fade away.
So here's a little handprint so that you can recall exactly how my fingers looked when I was very small.
After we opened her gift Elizabeth had fun playing with Bella:
