First Fruit
Well technically not her first fruit... We gave Elizabeth some small pieces of banana tonight at dinner time which she enjoyed eating. We are getting more confident at giving her solid solids that she can chew. Yes, we are probably being overly cautious.
Earlier in the week Elizabeth ate some tangerines. We opened up the slice and she took bites of the inside 'guts' of the slice. She enjoyed eating them too...
Elizabeth also had a blood test this morning. We scheduled a 10:30 appointment for her 1 year old allergen/lead testing. The lab tech had a hard time finding her veins so had to call in another woman who I guess was more of an expert vein hunter. Elizabeth was a trooper sitting on my lap just watching these two women touch her arms. I couldn't look once they found a vein(being the chicken with blood and needles) but Derrick was saying that she was fine with the needle going in her arm and fine for the first little tube they took but when they started drawing for the second tube is when she started crying. Both the lab techs thought she wasn't going to cry at all since she was doing so well. It was just a short cry because then she was interested in the Daffy Duck band aid they put on her arm.
