Spitting Up

Yesterday and more so last night Elizabeth spit up a lot to the point that we wondered if she was vomitting. She didn't spit up last night at her last feeding and there was nothing in her crib this morning to show that she spit up during the night. We decided that we would call the office today when they opened to just make sure we shouldn't bring her in. The nurse said it didn't sound like she was vomitting but if it became consecutive bouts then call them again. They suggested sitting her up for 30 minutes afterwards and burping her several times during the feeding since she might be gulping her food.

She did very well today. Derrick said she didn't spit up except for one time after I had just left. He kept burping her every 5 minutes while feeding her. She was also a happy girl and didn't cry at all during the day.

Shortly after I got home Derrick got ready to go to his board meeting for our church's school. With the torrential downpour warnings he wasn't too happy about taking the 30 minute ride home. Luckily he was able to make it home before the rain came. While he was gone, Elizabeth took a nice long nap in her swing and I was able to get the dishes done and straighten up the kitchen and family room.

She seems to be enjoying her swing more now and has started taking snoozes while swinging. I think we are going to need batteries soon as we have been using it a lot lately and the music seems to be getting slower and slower.
