Mommy Goes Away

Today I left for San Antonio, Texas for a law librarian's conference. It was hard to leave my baby and I got a little misty eyed when Derrick left the airport with Elizabeth. It's going to be hard to be away for 6 days and I wonder how she will take it. Will she miss me or will she just go on with Daddy as if I never existed...?

Elizabeth was being a flirt with my student worker Koviena and kept smiling at everyone.


I flew with my student worker and two other library students. It was nice to have company on the way down. This day came up so fast! We thought it was so far away at one point. I'm hoping that everything will be fine at home and that there will be enough supply in the freezer to feed Elizabeth until I get home.
