Picture Day

Today we took Elizabeth to the photographer for her '6 month' photos. Yes I know we are a little behind - seeing as she is 7 days away from being 8 months old. The requirement for the 6 month photos was she had to be able to sit up on her own (without her supporting herself with her arm - tripod) and that didn't really happen until she was 7 months old and then time just got away with us.

But she was such a good girl at the photographers and even the photographer thanked her for being such a good subject. We will go back on Friday the 14th to look at the pictures and I will post some of the shots shortly after. She posed in the nude today and was also placed in a wash basin in some of the shots. She would look at us then look at the camera and smile which the photographer thought was hilarious.

She was also a very good girl while Derrick and I were at the chiropractor's office before the photographers. The last time I was there was in December 2004 (2 months before she was born) and I badly needed an adjustment. Derrick hadn't been to the doctor since January so he was in need of a good adjustment too.

The doctor and his staff thought she was a cutie and of course she smiled for all of them. The secretary must have said something to the other staff because when we came out of the room we heard someone say 'Is that the cute girl with the chubby cheeks?' and then they came over to say hi to her. The doctor also gave us instructions on how we could give Elizabeth a little massage/adjustment which would feel good to her especially if she got colic-y and/or constipated.

We took her to daycare after the photographers around 11:00am and her teacher was happy to see her saying she missed her and wondered where she was this morning. She asked if she could give Elizabeth some fruit with her cereal as she had trouble with the plain cereal yesterday. The teacher gave Elizabeth bananas today. And from what the sheet says she ate it. The teacher who gave it to her had already left so I will have to ask her next time we see her.

Derrick actually got home early tonight from work so it was nice to spend some quality time with him. He helped me give Elizabeth a bath and also helped make dinner since Elizabeth didn't want to go down for a nap while I was making it even though she was very tired.
