Maybe a Tooth?
This morning we felt in Elizabeth's mouth and felt a swollen bump on her lower gum. She has been running a little warm in the forehead as well so we are wondering if her crankiness and unwillingness to eat solids is due to a tooth coming in. She also got up twice during the night - once at 2:30am and the other at 5:30am - which is unlike her. I got up for the first one and changed her loaded diaper full of BM, fed her in her room and put her back down to sleep. Derrick got up at the 5:30am wake up call and brought her in to me after he changed her diaper.
Today was a busy day for Elizabeth and all of us. We picked up my mom and on the way to my aunt's house dropped Derrick off at work so he could do some stuff in the lab and the stockroom. We visited with my aunt until 2:00pm and then picked Derrick up and stopped at his grandmother's house which is near his campus. We visited for a half hour and then ran home to make an Apple Bavarian Torte as we were going over to my girlfriend's house for dinner.
Derrick peeled and cut the apples up for me while I did all the dry ingredients for the recipe. My mom did some stuff around the house for me while Elizabeth took a nap.
Elizabeth is getting to be such a big girl size-wise. She seems to be getting heavier too! Here she is taking a nap - she looks so long!
After running my mom home we went over to my girlfriend's house and saw the barn she and her husband have built for their two horses. We also walked around their veggie garden looking at their crop they still had growing. And we had a delicious dinner that they made mostly from the vegetables in their garden and the lamb they get from a local farmer. The torte turned out well too which I was happy about.
Elizabeth was a very good girl during the whole visit and entertained our friends with her babbling and smiles. We were so proud of her behavior especially after such a busy day and only having an hour or two worth of naps! It wasn't a surprise that she slept the whole ride home.
