I Don't Wanna!

Today Elizabeth didn't want to go to daycare - she cried when we put her in the table chair and she cried when we tried to put her in the bouncer. I felt so bad but we had to get to work so I put her back in the chair built into the table. The rest of the kids were sitting at the table and I would've thought she would be interested in that. After we went out the door we peeked through the window in the door and the teacher had picked her up to try and cheer her up.

We did find out later why she may have been reluctant to go to school - she wasn't feeling well. Poor baby had two nasty poop explosions that nuked two outfits. She was in her third when we picked her up. The nurse at the daycare called me at work around 3:30pm to tell me that she had a 100.5 temp in one ear and 100.8 temp in the other ear - plus the two large poops. It was a low-grade temp but they thought we might want to contact her doctor before the weekend to find out what we should do.

We headed home and gave her some tylenol to help with the fever. The doctor's office recommended giving her some Pedialyte to help with dehydration. They also said to watch for dehydration - dry mouth, no tears when crying, and diminshed urine production.
