Accident
Today I stayed home with Elizabeth. Derrick got up and drove my mom downtown for a pre-surgical doctor's appointment that was at 10:45am.
Around 10:30am I get a phone call from Derrick: 'I am just calling to let you know that your truck is totaled'.
WHAT!? He goes on to tell me that a guy ran a red light and struck my truck. My mom saw the guy coming but couldn't yell out fast enough to Derrick to warn him that they were going to get hit.
So here's my lovely truck (I blurred out my license plate):
The collision tore my back tire off the rim so they had to put the dummy tire on to tow it. The collision also threw my truck into three parked cars so our police report is three pages long (first page is for the two in the main accident and then the other two pages are for the three parked cars that were innocent victims).
My mom is ok but Derrick struck his head on the pillar of the truck and also hit his knee on the dashboard. They both were checked out in an ER and Derrick has a concussion.
And you know what the kicker is? This accident occurred because the other driver was a pig and was too busy staring at a jogger's boobs! How do we know this? Because the driver came over to Derrick and said to him "Aw I was distracted by that jogger. Did you see the tits on her?" Lovely isn't it? Great so because you were a pig you could've almost killed someone because you had your eyes on some woman's boobs. Wonderful! And you know what the other kicker is? That jogger is our witness to the accident and thankfully she told the police what had happened so hopefully that bastard got a ticket.
I'm just grateful that Elizabeth wasn't in the truck at the time.

Oh my. I am so sorry that your truck is wrecked. And that D got hurt. It could have been so much worse. I had a good friend get flipped when she was hit in her blazer by someone running a red light. She got very hurt. And how crazy is the man that hit them. Why would he ever say that to D? I hope he did get a ticket.
OMG!! Anne Marie, I'm so sorry. Thank heavens no one was hurt.
