Forty-Nine Weeks

Today Elizabeth is 49 weeks old!

We went back to church for the first time in a long time. We figured we would try and sit inside the church at the very back and see how well Elizabeth would do. Well let's just say that we only lasted 5-10 minutes before we got up and went to the crying room - not because she was crying but she was having fun babbling. She also decided to throw her bottle and her teething toy on the ground forcefully to let us know that she didn't want them while we were inside the church.

One of the church members who was ushering today and is our friend offered to hold her while we went up to communion but we wanted to take her up so she could get a blessing from the pastor(s). While we were waiting in the aisle to go up on the altar, I was worried that she would start talking but she was really good and just looked around at the congregation singing and looked up at the balcony at the organist. While we were at the altar she was a good girl and just looked up at the pastors as they gave her her blessing and not a peep came out of her until we were safely back in the knave. The church isn't strict about children talking during service but we feel guilty about it since we think it is inconsiderate when other people let their kids scream and play in the balcony or around the church during a service.
