Saturday Sleep Over

Derrick got up around 5:30am this morning to head out the door. Elizabeth woke us up at 2:30am before that - I got up so Derrick could get some rest because I knew he would be getting up in a couple hours. I think the reason she got up was because we let her sleep too long (3 hours) last night before we woke her up for her final feeding.

I vaguely remember Derrick kissing me good bye and telling me something and I think I told him to drive carefully. The baby and I woke up around 8:00am and it was nice just to be relaxed and not have to rush anywhere. I had my hot tea and a bagel and just watched TV while the baby ate.

I made up a list of stuff to do around the house insdie and outside (weather permitting). The baby took a nap and then I picked up my mom and we ran around town doing some errands. We returned the pop cans that have been getting out of control in the garage, went to Dollar General to pick up a bucket since both of mine have vanished to the depths of one of the garages thanks to Derrick, picked up mom's prescriptions and picked up some pizza that mom bought for us for lunch. When we got back home we did laundry, straightened up the house, put out some of the Halloween decorations, and did the dishes.

We also tried on Elizabeth's Halloween costume. It's a little big on her but she looks sweet in it. The costume even has a little Eeyore tail on the back with a bow on it. She didn't mind it at all and totally ignored the ears that were on either side of her head. We figured she would try and pull it off.

Here's a picture of her in her costume test run:

Here's Elizabeth impersonating Eeyore's typical mood (miserable - she just got done crying):

In the afternoon I started feeling lousy and started sneezing. I wasn't sure if it was from pulling out the decorations from the storage closet or if I was getting a cold.

I asked my mom if she wanted to stay over and she did. Nasha joined her on the pull out bed since she thought it was so neat that there was a 'big' bed on the first floor of the house. She must have sneaked downstairs while I was sleeping because she was upstairs with me when I went to bed. My mom got up to use the bathroom during the night and Nasha had nested all the blankets into one nice ball in the center. Wasn't that thoughtful of her? Hehe
