Another day... another dollar...
I'm still here and still pregnant. And I am still working, but a week from today will be my last day of work. YEAH! My boss comes back to work on Tuesday and it will be interesting to have him back. He is already acting high strung the last couple times I have seen him. I told my student he is going to lose all that weight he gained while he was out the past six months. I can't blame him for being high strung... If you left your job for six months (and were in a management position) and the person who was managing while you were gone leaves 4 days after you get back - you would be stressed too. :D You're jumping back into a job that you don't know what has really happened on a daily basis. I have talked with him several times during the 6 months but it still will be nervewracking for him. Plus he will be coming back to a whole set of new workers in the department. He will only know 2 of the students and not the other 7. I hope they all behave and impress him - they have gotten lazy recently (probably because they know I'm leaving - LOL).
I probably will be stressed when I get back after being out 4 months. I am anal about how my statistics are written out and the way my one equipment setup document is laid out and I know when I go to look at it things will be different. I just hope my student doesn't get lazy and not document things she should. I have had her do the statistics the last couple months so she is fairly comfortable doing that and she's a pro at scheduling the student workers so no worries there.
I also worry about my plants at work... Maybe that sounds silly. I asked a coworker who has a green thumb if she could water the plants while I'm gone and she said yes but she hasn't brought it up again. I probably should mention it to her again early next week.
Other than that I'm feeling good today. There have been moments during the day where my belly seems to tighten up - not sure if this what they consider Braxton Hicks or just the baby stretching herself out. Twister got up on the bed this morning and had his paw touching my belly. Elizabeth acknowledged his paw by pushing a couple times in that spot. I thought that was cute.
Reading the pregnancy board, there are a lot of uncomfortable women that want their baby to come now. I feel bad for some because they have been having contractions for a couple days. I hope I don't experience that. There have also been a couple February mom's that have delivered early and so they have been posting their birthing stories. Interesting to read how things progressed with each woman. The one woman's husband missed the birth because it happened so quickly (she was admitted the night before to watch her protein level and ended up going into labor - he and the doctor didn't make it to the hospital in time for the delivery).
We shall see what happens with me...
