Two Month Appointment

Elizabeth had her two month doctor's appointment today.

Her stats for this visit:
Weight: 11 lb 8 oz
Length: 23 1/2 inches
Head: 39 cm

She got four shots today. I felt so bad for her. She had a totally heart breaking cry that we have never heard before - one of pain. The nurse was good and got it done quickly. My poor baby has two puncture holes in both her thighs.

Shots she got today:
- Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (Hib) Vaccine and Hepatitis B
- Polio Vaccine
- Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine
- Diptheria, Tetanus & Pertussis Vaccines

Her boo boo's:

She conked out after we dressed her and put her in her car seat. We ran around to do some errands (2 stores, post office, gas station, and the bank) and she didn't wake up until we got home. I gave her some infant tylenol and fed her. Derrick and I then went outside in the gorgeous weather and did some yard work. Elizabeth sat in her stroller looking around and then fell asleep.

The office suggested giving her vitamins (Trivisol) which has A, C and D in it. Since we don't have a lot of sun in this area we should supplement with the vitamins and it will also help with bone growth.

We also have to work on getting her to lay on the other side of her head since she is favoring her right side when she sleeps or lays on the floor playing. We didn't notice it but that side is a little flatter than the other side.

Her next appointment will be when she is 4 months old in June.

We gave Elizabeth a bath after dinner and she slept again. She was worn out from the stress of the day and from the injections. Her daddy was worn out too and passed out in bed at 7:30pm. Before she went to bed I put some baby oil on her head for the cradle cap. The nurse practitioner suggested doing this and then washing it off in the morning.

Here she is falling asleep before I fed her before putting her to bed for the night:
