Things are moving along...

Today we bought our new addition a 32" TV after we went to church. We ran my truck out to my cousin's house to have it get fixed this week and we also stopped at my girlfriends house and picked up the laz-y-boy chair and lamp stand she gave us on the way home. The addition is looking more and more like a comfortable family room.

Friday our friend did help Derrick bring up the other section of couch and take the other couch that was in our living room into the basement. It's amazing how much different the rooms all look with the furniture moved around. Kinda gives it a new home feeling :D (if that makes any sense). My girlfriend also brought over a joint birthday gift for Derrick and I. She and her husband had bought us a DVD player (since we didn't have one and have been using our Playstation 2 to watch movies). She's such a sweetie!

The rest of the day was spent doing laundry with my mom. I also hooked up the DVD player and tested it with the Shrek 2 DVD I got for Christmas :D We also received a foot of snow fall in a couple hours from mother nature. Derrick drove my mom home when it was at about 6 inches and he had a slow ride to and from her apartment (when it's normally a 5 or 10 minute drive). It always happens this way - I don't have use of my truck and we get hammered with snow!
