Baptized Baby

Elizabeth was baptized today at our church. Derrick and I are so happy that our pastor that married us was able to baptize Elizabeth. He is such a great guy and we hope he that he is still around for when our next child is born should we have one. He is getting up there in age and we were worried he wouldn't be here for this baby.

We thought we weren't going to make it out of the house this morning for two reasons. Reason #1: We got Elizabeth all dressed, diaper had been changed, and she was ready to go and then she pooped her diaper. Okay... Got the tights off of her, changed her diaper, tights back on... and she went again! AUGH! She went through three diapers in 5 minutes. And of course she thought that was funny! Reason #2: The weather was LOUSY! Yesterday we had a snowfall and we were hoping that it would not keep up for today - well it did... We woke up to a slushy snowy accumulation and it's a 30 minute drive to church.

It never fails! Whenever we have a party or function the weather never is in our favor... We had rain on our wedding, snow for my baby shower, and snow for my bridal shower.

She was a good girl after the poopy incident. We got to the church safely and most of the people we invited showed up. She was crying when my sister-in-law held her up near the altar but as soon as the water touched her head the pastor said she stopped crying and looked up at him wondering what was going on. :D

The party went well. We had tons of food and everyone was enjoying themselves. I'm glad it went well because I am not good at organizing these things...
