A Little Ahead?
This morning we went in to wake Elizabeth and found that she had wiggled out of her bumpers during the night.

We were reading the chart of baby milestones (what they will be doing at each month of age) that we have in Elizabeth's room and noticed that the 'hand to hand moving of objects' doesn't occur until the baby is 8 months along. So we are impressed that she is doing this at 4 1/2 months. She also has been lifting her head off of the ground (like she is doing a sit up) while on her back which the chart doesn't say happens until 6 months. I will have to check the other books and charts to see if this list is accurate. I know babies don't always do things on the dot when it comes to development but we're impressed (like any parent would be).
Nasha was dropped off at the vet's today to get her teeth cleaned. It was a nerve wracking day for me because this is the first time she has been put under anethesia since we have owned her. With greyhounds sometimes things go wrong while they are under and so that's all I could think of today. But she did very well and didn't need any teeth pulled.
So now she has clean white teefers. Derrick took Twister with him to the vet when he went to get Nasha. Twister had a 5:30pm appointment to get his anal glands expressed since they were a little plugged up and bothering him.
Derrick could hear Nasha in the back crying (when she heard his voice while talking to the vet) and banging her kennel. He asked through the door 'Nasha is that you?' and she just went nuts crying, whining and really banging her kennel. When the vet brought her out she tackled Twister and Derrick she was so happy to see them.
Here's Nasha really smiling (since having her teeth cleaned) while roaching on her bed:

I've never seen such a big smile on her before!
