Swim Lessons?

Today we got the YMCA catalog in the mail with the community education classes listed in it. They have swim lessons for 6-36 month olds. I think the 6 month kids are in the shrimp class. We have talked about taking her to swim lessons but we didn't talk specifically if we should do it now or when she's a little older. I'm always concerned about getting water in her ears and how this might lead to needing tubes in her or ear infections etc. Yes I'm a worry wort when it comes to her ears... Anyone have any input?
